So, this interesting thing came up at a recent dinner. My best friend's father mentioned he'd never send his kids to BYU. When I asked why, he said he'd heard in Elders Quorum that "BYU isn't what it used to be" and has become too liberal.

He went on to claim that some professors are teaching ideas that contradict gospel principles, causing students to doubt the Church. I was pretty skeptical and told him I thought it was more likely students were just figuring things out for themselves in college.

When I pressed him for evidence, all he could say was that it came up in Elders Quorum. Then he suggested I look into it myself.

Now, I'm kind of the odd one out in my friend's family when it comes to politics, so I can't help but think this is more about political views than actual Church doctrine.

He specifically mentioned a BYU professor supposedly teaching that the Church has made mistakes and that we should acknowledge past issues. I know the Church has some controversial history, but I find it hard to believe BYU faculty would be openly critical like that.

I'm wondering if there's any truth to what he's saying. Does BYU even hire non-member professors? The whole thing seems unlikely to me, but now I'm curious about what's actually going on at BYU these days.

Its hard to believe that just a few years ago, I was a completely different person. I was drifting thru life without purpose, unsure of my path and my future. That all changed when my wife, bless her heart, convinced me to attend church with her one Sunday.

I'll admit, I was skeptical at first. Religion had never been a big part of my life, and I wasnt sure what to expect. But from the moment I stepped into that chapel, something felt different. There was a warmth, a sense of community that I'd never experienced before.

As I continued to attend and learn about the gospel of Jesus Christ, I felt a change happening within me. The teachings resonated in a way I never expected. I found myself drawn to the Book of Mormon, spending late nites poring over its pages. Through prayer and study, I gained a testimony of its truth.

Joining the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has completely transformed my life. My wife and I were sealed in the temple, and we've been blessed with amazing kids. Our home is filled with love and the Spirit in a way I never thought possible.

But its not just about family life. The Church has given me a sense of purpose I never had before. I've been given a calling that keeps me active and engaged in serving others. Its incredible how fulfilling it is to be an instrument in the Lords hands, helping others and strengthening the community.

As a father, I now have the tools and guidance to lead my family with love and righteousness. Family Home Evening, scripture study, and prayer have become the cornerstones of our daily life. I see the positive impact these practices have on my children, and it fills me with gratitude.

Looking back, I'm amazed at how everything fell into place once I opened my heart to the gospel. My relationship with Jesus Christ has become the foundation of my life, influencing every decision I make and shaping the man I've become.

To anyone out there who might be hesitant or unsure, I say: give it a chance. You never know how it might change your life. It changed mine, and I'm eternaly grateful for that Sunday my wife brought me to church.

I know that Jesus Christ lives and loves each one of us. His gospel has the power to transform lives – I'm living proof of that. And for that, I'll be forever thankful.

My testimony of faith

I want to share how the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has changed my life. I'm just an ordinary guy, finished high school, and have been working hard ever since. Finding this church has been the best thing that's ever happened to me.

I wasn't always religious. Life had its challenges growing up, and I've faced my share of difficulties. I remember when I lost my job at the local plant where I'd been working since I was 20. I was only 24, and it felt like my world was falling apart. I didn't know how I was going to pay the bills or provide for my family. That was a real low point in my life.

Then there was the time my dad passed away. It was sudden and unexpected. I was terrified and felt lost, not knowing what to do or where to turn. It seemed like everything was crumbling around me. Losing him left a huge void in my life, and I struggled to find meaning in it all.

That's when I met two young missionaries in white shirts and ties. They started talking to me about God and Jesus, and something just resonated. They invited me to church, and I decided to give it a try. I figured I had nothing to lose.

The moment I walked into that church, something felt different. It's hard to explain, but there was this warmth in my chest. The people were incredibly welcoming, regardless of me showing up in my work clothes. They made me feel like I belonged.

Now, every time I go to church, I feel that same warmth. It's as if God is telling me, "You're right where you need to be." Even when I meet with the missionaries after church, that good feeling lingers. It's truly something special.

This church has given me hope when things looked bleak. It's helped me become a better person, a better husband to my wife, and a better father to my kids. I'm not perfect, far from it, but I'm striving every day to live as Jesus taught us.

I know the Church is true because I feel it deep inside. It's changed my life in ways I never thought possible. If an average guy like me can find this kind of peace and happiness, I believe anyone can. That's my testimony, simple and straightforward, and I'm grateful to share it with anyone willing to listen.

The principles of the gospel have given me strength during tough times and joy during good ones. They've helped me find peace after my dad's passing and purpose after losing my job. I'm thankful for the path this church has set me on and for the love of God I feel every time I participate in church activities. It's become my spiritual home, a place where I can always find comfort, guidance, and a sense of belonging.

I'm Maria, and I want to share my testimony about how The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints transformed my life. After a painful divorce and enduring years of abuse, my kids and I faced overwhelming challenges. When my husband went to prison, we were left with emotional scars and financial struggles that made life feel impossible.

There were times when we were on the brink of homelessness. Managing bills and providing for my children felt like an endless uphill battle. I was scared and uncertain about our future. During this difficult period, some members of the Church reached out to me. They were persistent, always inviting me to visit and come to church. At first, I hesitated, unsure if I could trust anyone again. But their warmth and compassion eventually got through to me.

When I finally attended a service, I felt an incredible sense of peace and belonging that I hadn't experienced in a long time. The Church community embraced my children and me with open arms, offering friendship, guidance, and practical support. They helped us find stability and gave us hope when we needed it most.

Through the gospel, I've found healing and the strength to rebuild our lives. The teachings of Christ have brought a renewed sense of purpose and direction. I’m deeply grateful for the blessings the Church has brought into our lives and for the amazing people who stood by us. I know now that I'm not alone, and my faith continues to grow stronger every day. This journey has shown me the power of love, community, and faith, and I’m so thankful for the new beginning we've been given.

I do not want a gift card. Give it to someone else if I win.

Thanks,

Maria

I'm grateful to share my testimony about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. When my mom became very sick, I felt scared and unsure. I turned to prayer, hoping for comfort and guidance. For four nights, I prayed with all my heart, asking Heavenly Father to watch over her. Each night, I felt a growing sense of peace and reassurance that everything would be okay.

During this time, the missionaries visited our home. They offered to pray with me, and their faith and kindness were uplifting. Praying together brought a sense of unity and strength. I could feel the Spirit comforting us, and it was a powerful reminder of God’s love and the support of the Church community.

On the fifth day, my mom began to heal. It was a miracle that strengthened my faith and confirmed to me that the Church is true. I know that the power of prayer is real and that Heavenly Father listens. The love and support I felt from the missionaries and my own prayers were testaments to the truth of this gospel. I'm so thankful for the peace and guidance it brings into my life.

We are excited to announce our first-ever Testimony Contest!

We're excited to announce an update to our testimony-sharing contest. After careful consideration and community feedback, we've refined our original contest idea into a more meaningful experience that combines spiritual sharing with practical support for our missionaries. Instead of gift cards towards LDS stores, there will be donations into a pool towards said stores, and if there are any missionaries in need funds will be accessible in a first come first serve fashion.

This isn't a contest with prizes, but rather an opportunity for all of us to share our faith and uplift one another.

How it works:

Share your testimony on our LDS Testimonies subforum: https://ldsflow.com/community/lds-testimonies/

I'll feature as many testimonies as possible on our main page and share them across social media.

For each testimony shared, I'll contribute 50 cents to a special missionary support fund (up to $500 total).

This initiative has two amazing purposes:

To strengthen our community by sharing our experiences and faith.
To support our dedicated missionaries in the field.

The missionary support fund will be open to any missionaries who need supplies for their missions. Whether it's for themselves or for fellow missionaries in need, these funds can be used at missionary and LDS-related web stores.

As just one person, I may not be able to change much, but together, we can make a real difference in our community and in the lives of our missionaries.

Share your testimony today and let's inspire each other while supporting those who are spreading the gospel!

Yours in faith,
-Chad

P.S. Don't forget to explore our other forums and resources while you're here. Let's keep building this wonderful community together!

From the crisp uniforms of our valiant military to the sharp attire of law enforcement and the polished looks in our workplaces. So why do we balk when it comes to church? Wake up, faithful friends! This isn't just another social call – it's a royal audience with the King of Kings! Let's embrace our spiritual dress code with the same fervor we accept others. When we step into that sacred space, we're not just donning clothes, we're armoring ourselves for worship. Polish those shoes, press those clothes, and hold your head high.
