Who is your favorite person in the book of Mormon??
I am a big fan of Moroni, perhaps because of his ability to fend off the Lamanites. Every group needs some who do well in battle, right?
Jesus loves us. 💘
Alma!!!
Ammon has always stood out to me because he began by serving instead of demanding that people listen to him. The story with King Lamoni is dramatic, but that quieter willingness to work and earn trust is the part I find easiest to apply in normal life.
Ammon’s willingness to serve before speaking really does make his example feel practical. I also appreciate that your point moves beyond the dramatic story with King Lamoni: earning trust through ordinary work can be a form of discipleship in a family, ward, or workplace. Moroni’s courage in battle matters too, but Ammon shows how patience and usefulness can open a door that argument might leave closed.
