Positive Impact by Onna

Overview

Positive Impact is a small business founded and operated by Onna in Weber County, Utah. Specializing in cleaning, deep cleaning, and organization, Onna brings more than just a service, she brings compassion, integrity, and care rooted in her faith. For her, cleaning is not just about sparkling counters and tidy rooms but about lifting burdens, bringing peace into homes, and helping families feel joy again.

Her journey began with prayer and a clear prompting from the Lord to create something meaningful. Today, Positive Impact is a business with heart, where every client interaction is seen as an opportunity to uplift, encourage, and serve. Beyond home care, Onna also hopes to become a certified mental wellness coach, further extending her mission of helping others find balance and healing.

How has your faith as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints influenced your decision to start Positive Impact?

By following my prompting. In my previous job, I was not happy and thought a lot about quitting and was very depressed. I prayed a lot about what to do and the Lord said, “Start your own cleaning business.”

What LDS values guide the way you interact with your clients and run your business day-to-day?

By trying to keep in mind being Christlike. Not everyone I talk to or clean for has the same values, beliefs, or practices. It is important to me to stay professional but also Christlike and be kind and calm and truly take into consideration where people are coming from. I try to put my heart into the work.

Do you feel your business has been an answer to prayer or spiritual guidance in your life?

Yes, absolutely. Because I did as I was told, and I love helping people and have always wanted to do so but was never sure how.

How do you see Positive Impact blessing not just individuals, but families and the community around you?

Positive Impact is not just another cleaning business. It is cleaning with care, with compassion, and with integrity. It is about making a positive change in someone’s life. Especially when someone is depressed or overwhelmed or mentally or physically struggling to do simple things around the house and cannot. That is where I come in, to help make it easier for them and to take that burden off their shoulders 🩷

Can you share a time when your work felt like a way of “bearing one another’s burdens,” as taught in Mosiah 18?

Yes, growing up, I enjoyed cleaning and organizing, and a lady I knew needed a lot of help with her home and was physically not able to do anything. So I went over and helped as much as I could for free. While doing it, she would keep saying “wow” and “thank you” and had the biggest smile on her face. I felt so good to be able to help her and feel the love of Christ there too 💕

How do you balance your business responsibilities with church callings and family life?

Trying to balance the business and family time has been challenging as I just recently started this business. But I am learning I need to set boundaries and limits. I am working during the weekday so I have my evenings and weekends for family and church.

In what ways has your family supported you in building and growing your business?

Happy for me. Asking questions like how was my day, wanting to see the before and after pictures. My husband helps with bills and business ideas.

You’ve expressed interest in becoming a mental wellness coach — how does this future goal tie into your faith and your current work?

Yes, I have struggled with my own mental health and I know so many other people do as well. If you think about it, if your mind is a mess, crazy, or overwhelmed, most likely everything else around you is as well including your home and even relationships. Being able to help someone better understand and clear their minds and feel better allows us to then work on other areas they are struggling with and eventually get everything back to a safe place.

What do you hope clients feel emotionally and spiritually after you’ve transformed their home?

I hope they feel better and happier. That a weight is lifted. That the extra guilt, stress, and worry are gone. That they can breathe again and focus on the positive things in life that bring joy.

If you could dedicate Positive Impact to one guiding gospel principle, which would it be and why?

I guess the word that comes to mind is Christlike Love ❤️
